A Progressive Giving of Thanks

Some things for which I am thankful:

  • That the event of our daughter waking up in the middle of the night and staying awake for an extended period is such a rare occurrence that, when it does happen, it renders us practically useless the next day. (That'd be today.)
  • Coffee.
  • That the coffee I spilled this morning was spilled only on the kitchen counter, and not on the freshly mopped floor.
  • Clean floors.

Your post made me laugh out loud, so loud my husband came in to ask what was going on!? This is the exact same experience our little man treated us to last tuesday(the day after you!). He woke at 1.05am, bouncing and ready for his day. He did not fall back asleep until 9 am on the way back from taking his siblings to school. Phew! Thankfully he slept in the pram for an hour while i drank lots of coffee, read the newspaper and read the mail.
They certainly know how to remind us that the little things mean a lot!
